Shame

The numbers indicating the violence of Vietnamese War scream for justice

Civil war between North Vietnam (supported by China and other communist allies) and South Vietnam (supported by US and other non-communist countries). For US this war was against spreading the communism and for North Vietnam it was a war against colonization.

Museum of Vietnam War/ Museum of American War in Vietnam

Visiting this museum, I got dizzy. The facts shot right in your face, cannot leave anyone unmoved. If they do, there is something very wrong with that person.

Most of the country got destroyed by US forces

The war in numbers!!!

The effects of chemical weapons are unbelievable.
According to US Defence Department data, from 1961-71, the US Air Force, sprayed 72 million liters of toxic chemicals of various types on Vietnam, including 44 millions liters of Agent Orange containing 170 kg of dioxin. In a study by scientists of Columbia University (NY) published in Nature magazine, the total volume of toxic chemicals that the US sprayed over Vietnam amounted to approximately 100 million liters, and the content of dioxin reported was double that of previously announced figures. According to the study, 3,851 communes suffered directly chemical spraying and the chemical directly affected 2.1 to 4.8 millions of Vietnamese people.

Agent Orange has taken its effects not only on those who were directly exposed to it, as it has been effecting new born babies till the present day.
Below pictures show people whose bodies are radically deformated by the chemicals.

From 4.8 millions of people exposed to the Agent Orange, 3 millions are suffering to the illness. Should be add to it the number of people indirectly touched by the illness through parents and contaminated food and water. Dioxin can cause cancer, birth and other diseases. It is easily spread to further generations through the damage of DNA.

USA should acknowledge and implement their responsibilities in spiritual and material aspect to Vietnamese victims in the same way as they have done to the American veterans victims. No excuse can justify that those who sat on the planes and spread toxics have been considered as catching or contracting disease, while those who had been sprayed toxics on their heads or had use the food and water mixed with toxics have not been recognized. This is an extremely severe violation of human rights (...). - fragment of speech by Mrs. Nguyen Thi Binh on 25.07.2004.

In almost each American movie there is this scene where people are gathered together to cheer somebody's success, loud voices of happiness, clapping hands and American flag in the background.
Americans have quite comfortable life in their country, but all the bad things that their country has done through such short existence, should not be kept quiet and forgotten only because they happen elsewhere.
All America's wars are being held outside their territory, how smart it is. The war shown on TV look more like another show and not reality of millions of people who go through hell each day of their lives, because US is powerful enough to do so and Western World doesn't really care about what is happening on the East part of the planet. As long the West is safe, God bless America?
